VidAs Intelligence

When : January-July 2009

Contribution : Java Developer - VidAs protocol implementation, functionnal improvement, Performance Optimization

Tech : Java, Garbage Collector, Hibernate, Postgresql

Description : This project focused on advanced video delivery based on peer-to-peer architecture. The server side coding was meant to implement new VidAs protocol messages, like quality of service (peer switching, peer load balancing) in order to avoid failure of streaming sessions. The point was also to make the system's behavior more relevant using Sql locks within transaction context for example.

Challenges : Facing a memory leak due to Hibernate, and regarding the application's profile, identifying the right use of the Garbage Collector in order to optimize its behavior.
 
 

VidAs Web

When : January-July 2009

Contribution : Web developer - Statistics optimization, VidAs Monitoring (peers, contents,etc.)

Tech : Postgresql, Php, JavaScript, Html, CSS, Boxee plugin

Description : This was the Web part of the VidAs project focused on advanced video delivery based on peer-to-peer architecture. It's a range of tools. First, to monitor all VidAs components (peers, contents, sessions, etc.). Second, to provide a end user interface able to play movies using the VidAs Technology.

Challenges : Anticipating and understanding the functionnal requirements regarding the fact there weren't any real end users to interact with (Targeted people : household people, network administrator, marketing representatives).
 
 

OpenFact

When : May-August 2008

Contribution : Web Application Developer

Tech : Php (Object Oriented Programming), Smarty, Ajax, Apache, MySql, linux, COSMIC, PhpEclipse, SVN

Description : A billing software enabling the clinic to improve Billing Management and to be up to date with new governmental rules. A piece of medical staff's salaries management is also handled by this web application.

Challenges : Learning specifities about Information System within a medical corporation, and understanding how things worked before for the end user, to build an efficient and intuitive software easy to use.
 
 

GroupeC2S website

When : June-July 2007

Contribution : Web Developer

Tech : Joomla CMS, Php, MySql, Javascript, Html, Css

Description : A range of homogeneous website for each clinic owned by the holding. It was important to reflect the link between all clinics through a similar design and organization. Thanks to two handcoded joomla plugin, medical staff search and quality study management have been made possible.

Challenges : Facing obstacles to get people to be involved in content providing, and integrating output from the quality study software to websites.

SAISAM

When : January-February 2006

Contribution : Web Application Developer

Tech : Php, MySql, Javascript, Html, Css

Description : A software meant to be used in surgical blocks. All medical actions taken by surgeons and anesthesists ought to be typed in. Later, those useful information will be used by the clinic itself to generate bills.

Challenges : Learning specifities about Information System within a medical corporation, and taking care of the existing Information System in order to better integrate this application.

Description : A site built for managing championship & publishing news. Thanks to a friendly user administration, content is added as well as game's information by a computer rookie.

Challenges : Managing all the life cycle project process in autonomy, and taking initiatives to lead interviews.
